Echoes of Age sheds light on the nuances that age brings and reflects on their life that shows through weathered skin and aged wrinkles. My Grandpa Dave, from whose namesake I share, passed before I ever picked up a camera. I wish I could have made his portrait. Instead I use this series to delve into those around me who are still alive as well as landscape that depicts small glimpses of my grandfather. Through their demeanor, the use of reflections, scale, and the direction of light, these photographs develop a sense of memory that guides the viewer through each image to bind the individuals together and to reflect on the simple complexity of age.
